The San Andreas State Patrol (SASP) is the premier statewide law enforcement agency dedicated to keeping the roads of San Andreas safe, efficient, and under control. With jurisdiction spanning all Interstate Highways, U.S. Highways, and State Routes, SASP Troopers are constantly on the move—serving as the backbone of traffic enforcement and roadway safety across the state.

SASP is supported by several specialized divisions that enhance its capabilities across the state:

• Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement (CMVE): Focused on ensuring roadway safety through the inspection of semi-trucks, trailers, and other commercial vehicles. This division plays a critical role in preventing unsafe equipment and over-the-road violations.

• HEAT (Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic): An elite unit operating high-performance vehicles designed to combat reckless driving, street racing, and high-speed pursuits. HEAT Troopers are trained to respond quickly and decisively to the most dangerous drivers on the road.

• Air Support (AIR Unit): Providing aerial surveillance and assistance, the AIR unit uses helicopters to track suspects, coordinate pursuits, and support ground units during large-scale incidents or searches.
